"I am going to become a Chief Digital Officer!" announced Bristol the bulldog, after we finished reading our morning quota of newspapers.



"What in the hell is that?" I exclaimed.



Bristol said, rather sheepishly, "After the likes of Managing Worker and Chief People's Officer, it's now turn of Chief Digital Officer!!"



I was all at sea. I was faintly aware of transformation from Analogue to Digital, in electronics. But, I had never heard that company's have "Chief Analogue Officer", so, how could be that upgrade possible?



My dear master, (again I sensed a tinge of mockery n pity in Bristol's toner, but I left it at that), companies, nowadays are finding it very difficult to keep pace with rapid transformations all over. Digital Transformation is beneficial and necessary in many ways. Marketing and Branding, has had huge innovative upliftment. You need to take the company forward in leaps and bounds, don't you? Chief Digital Officer would be useful...in the role of a mentor...he would report directly to.....Chairman Emiratus...."

Bristol continued in a professor like voice. But I actually dozed off.



I am beginning to get old fashioned, I suppose! For me digitisation means scanning the documents.



And storing them electronically...
