Er Rational musings #568

Er Rational musings #568

“And, for a Wednesday, a few stray musings and a few general notations and a few view points (all my own work):”

At last I got what I wanted. A talking dog! Very intelligent, Bristol, the bulldog!

Also, I have moved to my new flat on 52nd floor.

Bristol, the bulldog, is very learned, unlike other dogs. He keeps a tab on happenings all over the world. He accompanies me for my daily morning walk.

Today, he asked me, how come this 60 feet road appears like a small airport strip of @12 to 16 feet width in the evenings?

I tried to respond as somberly as I could. Afterall Bristol was new to Mulund.

I replied, well, what you say is correct and incorrect. Roads are meant for commuting, and you can see people moving about rather hurriedly.

"But then, why do we see that shop keepers on both sides have occupied half of the footpaths? Footpaths are for pedestrians, right? There are hawkers along both sides of the road. Don't we have separate hawing zones? Then, we see that all types of food stalls on the road. Then we see that all types of vehicles parked in any which manner, on both sides (wherever empty space is up for grabs!). Then we see that people walking carelessly, stopping shopping buying vegetables, eating, loitering n what not?! And we also see that, there are two wheelers n four wheelers plying on the centre strip of the road, honking continuously!! What sort of place, you have brought me to?" Bristol the bulldog was grimacing all the way.

I just looked at him, absent mindedly, trying to figure out where am I and with whom?
