~ Severe floods in Northern England.
~ Wildfire destroys over 100 homes in Australia.
~ Earthquake, tremors felt in Afghanistan/Pakistan. 100s wounded.
~ Landslide in Myanmar. Dozens missing.
These are today's stories from around the world. But such calamities do happen every day. If we really study n analyse the climatic conditions in other countries/regions, we shall come to the conclusion to the extent that we, in India, enjoy far superior climate, generally.
Extreme weather conditions in US/Canada to Russia/Europe to China/Japan to Australia to strife torn nations in west Asia/middle east to starving nations in Africa to rest of economically poor nations offer tremendous hardships to their citizens. Moreover, the nature is very unpredictable and often plays traunt.
India, is having great advantage of having by and large, evenly distributed summer/monsoon/winter seasons. (true; these are getting affected by rampant negligence towards environment, but, still). We have great locational advantage. Sea and land in proportionate quantity. Good natural resources. Good produce of crop. Good this, good that. In fact, we have it all here, present, which really matters!
We are lacking in discipline. And clear cut developmental road map and planning and retain, nurture talent and ACT.
If all stakeholders like general public, political fraternity, industrial community n our mainstay farmers etc etc, just pause, think, take cognizance, take small sure steps, then India would be the true leader and we Indians, start calling the shots like never before.
A new year resolution of decision, dedication n determination.
