Er Rational musings #107

Er Rational musings #107

A foreign stint at/near after, beginning of professional career many a times, helps a great deal. In the longer run. Initially 2-3-4 years in India n theteafter, off you (should) go (& return after earning/amassing hefty sum of money).

Exposure, new (n good) work systems, mixing with colleagues of different nationalities, culture, ethics, update with latest technology, hard work/toil/long duty hours in some cases, etc teaches more maturity and more mastery.

Above all, one attains financial freedom, sort of. 6-7-8 years of overseas employment opens newer avenues. One has a choice of returning to India, for good. If one is ambitious n has a flair for entrepreneurship, this route is best. Or, the money earned periodically can be invested back home, mostly in realty sector. Or, one can stay on (right now, this is the likely scenario), move ahead with career, family, children education n all.

One thing is sure; Engineers passing out of colleges today, instead of running after 'MBA' mania, should pursue their core field, in 'thus' way...
