Er Rational musings #379

Er Rational musings #379

We have been taught that Best > Better > Good, right?

Then why we call and wish/express (only) Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Night etc? Instead of Best Morning, Best Afternoon, Best Night?

It may be because, Best means Unsurpassable, Unparalleled n Unbeatable (which is simply impossible in 99.99% of the cases).

Excellent means Outstanding, First-rate n Exceptionally Good.

Therefore, let's wish, greet @ll and say Excellent Morning, Excellent Afternoon and Excellent Night.

Well, Good Afternoon, err, Excellent Afternoon...
