Like, I think that there
are two (best) innovations, which often help us a lot more in our everyday life
are
1. Upper dipper switch of
an automobile; not the switch, but its function! you flicker it once / twice,
so as to convey your intentions to the driver of vehicle coming from opposite
direction. Inventing a switch is OK, but firstly to think about flicker
signalling is a Novel idea!
2. Serving a tea (local, eg ‘Shankar Vilas Hindu Hotel’) / chai in a steel waati! Notice that there are two waatis, with smaller one containing your chai, is placed upside down in a bigger one! Simple but effective with tremendous usage?! Tea doesn’t get spilled and one can make two cuttings from one full tea served ! That’s practicality & Logic, boss! Hats OFF…..

Like, I think that drinking age should
be 18, instead of 25, as per existing law. Whatever happened to the Public
Interest Litigation filed by actor Imran Khan (Aamir Khan’s nephew)? Or was it
only a publicity stunt? Anyway, if we allow today’s youth to vote at the age of
18, then everything else should follow suit…
Like, I feel that employees
of co operative banks like Saraswat, Shamrao Vithal, Cosmos etc & private
banks like ICICI & HDFC etc are far more courteous (and smiling \ helpful \
look happy!) than employees working with nationalized banks like Bank of
Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra & so on..
Like, I notice that driving
on Saturdays, Sundays & holidays is more taxiing & frustrating for
‘seven days – regular drivers’; because, most people, who own a vehicle &
do not commute to offices in their own vehicle, take out their cars on
weekends. They are mostly occasional drivers & hence I find them NOT as
fluent as other routine ones…
Like, I wonder about how
the law is enforced…on one hand, we make private vehicle drivers &
co-passenger to wear seat belts, but on the other hand, it is not mandatory
& applicable for drivers of Fiat taxi, tempo, truck, bus & so on..
Like, how wearing a helmet
is compulsory in Mumbai, but not in Pune / most of the other cities in
Maharashtra…that’s public pressure…
Lastly, I observe that the
queues outside Mandirs are getting longer & longer day by day and also, a
lot more youth are found patiently waiting for their turn for lord’s darshan…
and we have segregated days
as...Mondays are for Shankar bappa, Tuesdays are for Ganapati bappa, Thursdays
are for Datta Maharaj / Sai baba / Swami Samarth / Shegaon Gajanan Maharaj and
Saturdays are for Shani ji / Hanuman ji and ‘abhaksha bhakshan / apeypaan’ is
taboo on these SACRED days. But look at the master stroke of this scheme!
Wednesday (Vitthalacha diwas), Friday (Devi cha diwas) and Sunday (Surya cha
diwas) are left out & conveniently ignored, so that we are allowed (!) to
eat meat & have drinks on these days! All Gods / Goddesses are NOT equal,
so it seems!
