Like, there is a tremendous increase in
accidents involving two wheelers..I squarely blame the driving skills of
today's two wheeler drivers. Have a close look at their grip on handle. Notice
how they keep 4 fingers of both hands continuously (lazily \ by default) on
clutch (left hand) and front brake (right hand), ready to press them at any
moment ! It results into loose control on the handle. And this, in my opinion
is absolutely unnecessary posture. The handle needs to be & should be
firmly held with both hands; like a clenched fist! Fingers need to be released
& put into action, only when required to operate either clutch or front
brake.
And evaluating this improper style, I delved into past & found that current generation of two wheeler drivers have not had an opportunity to ride scooters like API/Lamby,Bajaj,Vespa, & like. Riding such two wheelers where you need to exchange 1 to 4 gears continuously, & where clutch mechanism goes physically downwards, a firm grip on handle was necessary. This holds true in case of motorbikes like Yezdi also.
Bikers, please hold your handle in a firm grip of both hands, move your fingers swiftly, as & when required, but, only to the extent ! Have a traffic sense, pls note that left lane is for YOU, learn to make the speed & accelerator zero, to reduce speed gradually, do not cut lanes, and drive slowly but steadily,..Even know how to park your two wheeler !
Happy
riding ! All the best !
