CSR concept
'Corporate Sports Responsibility', on the likes of 'Corporate Social Responsibility', should be made mandatory for the companies, who are engaged in CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility activism.
It means that the companies whose net profit is Rs 5 Cr or the annual turn over is Rs 1000 Cr or have Rs 500 Cr net worth, have to spend (a whopping amount) 2 percent of their 3 year average annual net profit on 'Corporate Sports Responsibility' activities.
Such companies should have a separate, independent and professional Sports Director on the Board. The proposed Roles, Responsibilities and Functions, under him should be on the basic, central theme of 'PING'; ie 'Players Identification, Nurturing n Grooming!'
These companies, under CSR, should focus on total sports promotion; right from grass root level, and right from tribal areas to urban cities, and encourage wholehearted participation. In right earnest!
Identification of the potential, providing sustainable support and give wide exposure to deserving players should be the main aim. These companies need to adopt sportsperson/s, and/or teams. Simply, because, basic talent requires honing, which is what is needed. Training facility, sports kits/gear/accessories, coaching, and introduction on wider scale, alongwith education, finance and general well being, should be offered. (and many such things, as they deem fit, to make sports as a second nature of those who are hugely talented, keenly interested and more than willing to strive for excellence in Sports.
Raw deserving talent hunt, selection, adoption, guidance, training, financial/mental/physical/educational support, coaching, exposure in national/international level..logical conclusion.
Difficult, distant n different, but realistically Possible...
